I Tunes is a free podcast client from Apple. It has the ability to interact with your Ipod, and with Apple's I Tunes Store. While other clients can access the podcasts listed in the I Tunes Store, only I Tunes will access the Store, which is actually a directory of podcasts. It has the ability to play files internally and can play mp4's, mp3's and enhanced podcasts. Enhanced podcasts are audio files with embedded images that pop up at points during playback of the audio file. It has the ability to be opened by clicking on a special link in a web browser that is created just for I Tunes. It is only a podcast client and will not read blogs. It is rather large and wants to associate itself with many media types. It does not support OPML, using it's own proprietary import and export scheme. It runs only on Mac and Windows. The first step is to download I Tunes. Save the file somewhere that you will remember where it is. If you are running Windows double-click on the file to install it. you will have to make your own decisions as to what files to associate it with. If you prefer another media player you probably do not want to allow it to associate itself with all filetypes. Now run I-Tunes.

I will update this when I have access to I Tunes. Basicly you select podcasts in the side bar and from the menu add a podcast. Type in the URL http://bonanzaville.fiddle-nd.org/podcast/ and click the button that says something like Okay. It will download the list of files and you click on them to play them.

Enjoy the music and for a good time come to Bonanzaville's Dawson Hall any Saturday between 1 and 5 PM and bring your instrument.
